Educational and workforce development activities introduced safety-related concepts and careers to primary and secondary school students, enriched the educational experience of university students, and provided professionals with the tools and resources they need to improve roadway safety.
Our safety-themed museum exhibit is designed to teach kids to be safe when biking or walking in the dark.
Each year, the Institute awarded one Outstanding Student of the Year award and travel awards to the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting held in January in Washington, D.C.
White Earth Summer Academy of Math and Science
The Institute delivered a day of curriculum to students in grades 4 through 8 attending a two-week summer day camp on the White Earth Reservation. Activities focused on safe road use and STEM careers while making connections to students' cultural heritage.
